Neymar Transfer to Barcelona

By Frankie Taddeo

Fabrizio Romano, a sports reporter, has said that the exciting stories about Neymar going back to Barcelona are not true.

Neymar, the famous Brazilian soccer player, hurt his knee while playing for his country in late 2023. Even though he’s injured, people are still talking a lot about what team he might play for next.

Even though he just joined the Saudi team Al-Hilal for a lot of money last summer, the 32-year-old player is often talked about as leaving. He hasn’t done much to stop these rumors, because he has said before that he wants to play in Major League Soccer and also go back to his first team, Santos.

Recently, the president of Santos added to the rumors by saying that he talked to Neymar and that Neymar will return to the club.

Also, there’s another rumor going around that Neymar might go back to Barcelona. Some people say he really wants to rejoin after talking to the president, Joan Laporta.

Romano on Neymar to Barca

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, on the other hand, has been quick to dismiss this exciting gossip. The Italian expert has said that there’s no truth to the rumors about Neymar going back to Barcelona.

“Based on the information I have, despite the rumors we’ve heard in the last 24 to 48 hours, as of today in March, there are no talks or contacts for Neymar to return to Barcelona in the summer,” Romano shared on his YouTube channel.

“Neymar is completely focused on his time with Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia, concentrating on recovering from his injury and then playing for Al-Hilal. Right now, Neymar is not talking to Barcelona about returning, despite the rumors we often hear about it.”

So far, Neymar has played in just five games for Al-Hilal, where he has made three assists and scored one goal.

How could this be done?

The main issue at hand is how to make this transfer happen if Xavi gives his approval.

The player needs to understand that Barcelona isn’t as financially strong as it used to be. If Neymar wants to come back, he’d likely have to accept a lower salary than what he’s currently earning in Paris. However, Barcelona could still offer him a decent salary within their current financial constraints.

Additionally, LaLiga wouldn’t allow a drastic reduction in salary. So, it might be necessary to find a solution where PSG continues to pay a portion of Neymar’s salary even after he leaves. Right now, this seems unlikely due to the strained relationship between the two clubs, but it’s not entirely out of the question.

Furthermore, the possibility of Neymar’s return to Barcelona has attracted significant attention from sports betting enthusiasts, look who eagerly await updates on the potential transfer and its implications on betting odds and outcomes.
